What if I disagree with my assessed value?

If you disagree with your assessed value, you may file a tax appeal with the Ocean County Board of Taxation. The deadline to file a tax appeal is April 1 of the year in question, unless a Township wide revaluation or reassessment program has been implemented. For tax years where a revaluation or reassessment program has been implemented, the tax appeal filing deadline is May 1. For more information on filing a tax appeal, please contact the Ocean County Board of Taxation by calling 732-929-2008 or visiting their website.
