Description

This is the homepage for plans and projects related to bicycle and pedestrian improvements within the Township of Toms River. A Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan was developed by NV5 in 2018-19, but proposed links are being considered for revision using existing conservation easements and other means. The Ortley Beach Streetscape project is currently in the design phase and is funded by a Transportation Assistance Program (TAP) Grant for construction and funding from the NJDOT Design Assistance Program for design. The Township submitted another TAP Grant application on November 23, 2020 for a streetscape improvement project along Main Street in Downtown Toms River.
