Building Department
The Building Department reviews and inspects building construction plans and activities. The main responsibility of this division is to ensure all aspects of building, including plumbing, electrical and structural elements are built in accordance with the strict standards found in the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code.
This code is under constant review by the state based on research from various studies. Township inspectors stay current through mandatory training on the latest codes to ensure that all new buildings and renovations are constructed as safely as possible.
