You need JavaScript enabled to view it OverviewThe Toms River Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Developmental Disabilities provides advocacy and assistance for residents with developmental disabilities and their family members. Serving as a resource for the local community, the committee advocates for both the education and employment of developmentally disabled residents here, while keeping Mayor Thomas F. Kelaher abreast on all new committee policies and procedures. The committee meets during the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., except for November and December when they meet the third Wednesday. All meetings are open to the public and held in the Hirschblond Meeting Room at Toms River Town Hall, 33 Washington St. The 20-member committee is made up of self-advocated developmentally disabled residents, their family members and representatives from local agencies including, the Children’s Specialized Hospital, the Family Resource Network and 21 Plus.
