In an effort to save space and landfill tipping fees brush is collected separately so it can be chipped. Public Works will be picking up brush curbside in the fall and spring each year. Branches must be less than 3" diameter; all material must be bundled in lengths of 4' or less and weigh less than 50 lbs. Put material to be chipped at the curb before 7a.m. on the Monday of your collection week; it will be picked up between Monday & Friday of that week. Click “Read more…” for schedule.

FALL 2010 COLLECTION
SHRUB & TREE TRIMMINGS, BRANCES & SMALL DIAMETER LOGS

Beginning the week of September 13, 2010, the Township will begin curbside pickup of shrub & tree
trimmings, branches, & small logs to be chipped & recycled instead of land filled. Logs must be less
than 3” diameter; all material in lengths of 4’ or less and weigh less than 50 lbs. (DO NOT BAG ITEMS) and on
the curb before 7:00 a.m. on Monday of your collection week. 

    If your recycling day is Monday…
brush collection will occur during the week of September 13th.
If your recycling day is Tuesday…
     brush collection will occur during the week of September 20th.
If your recycling day is Wednesday…
    brush collection will occur during the week of September 27th. 
If your recycling day is Thursday…
     brush collection will occur during the week of October 4th.
If your recycling day is Friday…
     brush collection will occur during the week of October 11th.

Throughout the year, residents can bring chipable material and leaves to the Toms River Recycling Convenience Center and pick up free mulch and wood chips.  (Located at 1672 Church Road - entrance is ¼ mile east of North Bay Avenue).
